CAPE TOWN – TAVERN OF THE OCEANS
REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA
The Republic of South Africa is a fascinating country with diverse and rich nature, culture, and history. Desmond Tutu and Nelson Mandela used the phrase ‘The Rainbow Nation’ to describe their country. There is something here for everyone. Whether you are a wildlife enthusiast, a fan of mountain climbing, beach lounging, wine, or unique cuisine.
The climate of South Africa is favorable enough to allow travel almost year-round. Subtropical in the north, tropical in the west, and Mediterranean in the south of the country. Everyone can experience the truly wild Africa, many will fall in love with Cape Town and its surroundings, and without exception, all will be enchanted by the country’s incredible nature and picturesque views.
CAPE TOWN
Cape Town city is considered one of the most beautiful places in the world. The blue Atlantic waves, white beaches, vineyards, jazz festivals, and cosmopolitan atmosphere. And that’s not all! Cape Town is the second-largest city in South Africa after Johannesburg. It lies in the shadow of the majestic Table Mountain, at the border of two oceans, surrounded by hills that descend towards wide, empty beaches.
A charming city bathed in sunshine, full of life and a fantastic atmosphere. Only here can you sunbathe on a beach guarded by the Twelve Apostles, visit the southernmost point of the Cape Peninsula, swim with penguins, and enjoy the best seafood in the world!
TABLE MOUNTAIN
This extraordinary mountain has been a symbol of Cape Town since the city’s founding. Over the centuries, the appearance of the mountain has remained the same, but its significance to the people living there has changed. For sailors, Table Mountain was a salvation from the stormy ocean waters, while for political prisoners on Robben Island, it represented freedom. However, this mountain holds many secrets that have yet to be fully uncovered.
The mountain is part of Table Mountain National Park, and in 2004 it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the Cape Floral Region Protected Areas.
KLOOF STREET HOTEL
Kloof Street Hotel is part of the Lion Roars Hotels & Lodges chain. It’s a modern, boutique 4-star hotel located on one of Cape Town’s main streets, right at the foot of Table Mountain, surrounded by a trendy mix of bars, artisan restaurants, and shops.
The rooms are decorated in a super natural style, but still keep that classy vibe. Each room comes with a modern bathroom, a coffee machine (so you can fuel your adventures), and a TV with satellite channels. Most rooms offer views of Table Mountain, Signal Hill, Devil’s Peak, and the city.
And if that’s not enough, guests can also chill on the rooftop terrace, complete with a bar, pool, sun loungers, and outdoor tables for those who prefer to dine outdoors.
LAVENDER FARM GUEST HOUSE
Lavender Farm Guest House is a charming and picturesque property, located near the town of Franschhoek – a former settlement of French Huguenots. Its location offers guests spectacular views of the surrounding vineyards and the Dassenberg Mountains.
The accommodation provides exceptional service. All high-quality rooms are comfortably furnished. The interiors are tastefully designed, combining classic style with modern amenities, creating a cozy and unique atmosphere.
